Pandit Arun Kashalkar

Pandit Arun Kashalkar is a disciple of legendary Pandit Gajananrao Joshi of Gwalior Gharana and Pandit Babanrao Haldankar of Agra Gharana. His concerts are known for the essence of Agra Gharana which is 'nomtom', 'bols', 'taans' of great force and boundless creativity. He has composed his own bandishes under the pseudonym of 'Rasdaas'. Pandit Arun Kashalkarji's musical career spans more than 5 decades of hectic schedule of concerts, lecture demonstrations and grooming students in the field of music. Pandit ji is recognized as a Top Grade Artists by All India Radio.

Presently, Mukul is taking taleem under the watchful eyes of Pandit Arun Kashalkar of Gwalior-Agra Gharana. It was under the guidance of Pandit Arun Kashalkar that Mukul became captivated by the art, as he started to define his gayaki.

Pandit Sharad Sathe (Feb 18, 1932 - Apr 17, 2019 )

Pandit Sharad Sathe is a disciple of Pandit D.V. Paluskar, Prof. B.R.Deodhar and Pandit Sharshchandra Arolkar of Gwalior Gharana. A true representative of Gwalior Gharana (school), Pandit Sharad Sathe demonstrates the authentic gayaki with introspection. Pandit Sharad Sathe is a top grade vocalist of AIR who has made a mark on the contemporary musical scene through diligent practice, informed study and assimilation. Although a follower of the Gwalior gayaki, Panditji is an eclectic musician who has kept his mind and ears open to the best that other schools have to offer.

Mukul is fortunate to receive rigorous taleem from renowned vocalist Pandit Sharad Sathe on traditional Bandishes of Gwalior Gharana in Khayals, Tappas and Taranas. With his critical approach, Pandit ji has imparted many traditional, rarely heard Bandishes to Mukul and his insights in the aesthetics of Hindusthani Classical music.

Pandit Vikas Kashalkar

Dr Vikas Kashalkar, a disciple of Shri N.D.Kashalkar and Pandit Gajananbuwa Joshi, is a Top Grade Artist of All India Radio. He has a large repertoire of uncommon & Jod ragas and he presents them with great mastery and ease. His melodious voice and intricacies of ‘Tanas’ give immense joy to the listeners. His style is deeply rooted in traditions but his imagination knows no boundaries. Hence, there is always a feeling of newness in his rendering.

Mukul has completed his Master's Degree in Music from Lalit Kala Kendra (University of Pune) with a top rank under the guidance of Guru Dr. Vikas Kashalkar. Mukul was awarded the late Datta Marulkar Gold Medal for this achievement at the hands of V.C. Raghunath Shewgaonkar in 2009.

Smt Sukhada Kane

Disciple of Pandit Limayebuwa and Pandit Kanebuwa, Smt Sukhada Kane (Kolhapur) guided Mukul systematically and laid a solid foundation for future training. Mukul picked up the nuances of music under her guidance while pursuing Mechanical Engineering studies.

Shri Nishikant G. Paramane ( (1935 - Dec 8, 2022)


Gifted with a sonorous voice, Shri Paramane (Warananagar, Dist Kolhapur) laid a foundation to Mukul's training in Hindustani music (vocal). Under his able guidance, Mukul was awarded a scholarship from Center for Cultural Resources and Training, New Delhi. Shri Nishikant Paramane ji had learnt under Pandit Sadashivrao buwa Jadhav (Kirana Gharana).
